Paphos harbour is small, busy and pleasantly unpolished: fishing boats, cruise catamarans and a long promenade running out to the castle on the breakwater.
The castle began as a Byzantine fort, was rebuilt by the Lusignans and later reworked by the Ottomans. From the roof you get the best view back over the harbour and the archaeological park.
