The Blue Lagoon route

Heading north from Paphos harbour you pass Coral Bay, the sea caves at Agios Georgios and the long empty flank of the Akamas before the coast folds into the Blue Lagoon. The water there sits over pale limestone, which is what gives it the colour photographs never quite believe.

Boats anchor for swimming, snorkelling and paddleboarding. Most day cruises also make a second stop at the Baths of Aphrodite or Manolis Bay on the way back.

Sunsets and short trips

Sunset cruises are two to three hours, sailing south past Aphrodite's Rock as the light drops. They suit an evening rather than a whole day and usually include a drink and light mezze on board.

Shorter coastal trips run several times a day in summer and are a good option with small children or when you want the sea without committing eight hours to it.
