Roman columns and mosaic floors at the Paphos Archaeological Park in Cyprus

Kato Paphos

Archaeological Park of Paphos

A UNESCO World Heritage site beside the harbour, best known for its Roman villa mosaics.

The park covers much of the ancient city of Nea Paphos. The highlights are the mosaic floors of the Houses of Dionysos, Theseus, Aion and Orpheus, laid in the second to fourth centuries AD and remarkably intact.

Beyond the villas, the site includes the Odeon, the Asklepieion, the agora and the Saranta Kolones castle ruins, spread over open ground next to the sea.
