Paphos has one of the longest seasons in the Mediterranean, but the right month depends entirely on what you plan to do.
Spring: March to May
Green countryside, wildflowers and comfortable walking weather. The sea is still cool in March and warms through May. Ideal for gorges, hiking, safaris and horse riding.
Summer: June to August
Hot, dry and reliably sunny, with the warmest sea of the year. Boat trips run daily. Book activities for early morning or late afternoon and treat midday as pool or shade time.
Autumn: September to November
Arguably the best window. The sea stays warm well into November, the crowds thin after early September, and inland temperatures become pleasant again.
Winter: December to February
Mild, quiet and green, with some rain. Many boat trips pause, but archaeology, villages, walking and food are excellent, and the Troodos mountains occasionally have snow.
